20,000+ people ran in Sunfeast World 10K Bangalore and the city's Charity graph moves up!

We had 15 Corporates, 4,279 individuals donors who together raised 1.40 crores for 73 charities through the platform. In just 2 years  Bangaloreans have made the Sunfeast World 10K Run so successful that its the first 10K Run of Asia and 3rd of the world to get a gold label! Thousands from the voluntary sector, corporates, media, celebrities and the enthusiastic public of Bangalore ran and the spirit of Bangalore was evident in all colours.

Bangalore Cares, the Official Charity Partner says a big  "Thank You" to each and every person who in this event contributed to the under privileged and ran with them too........

Project Eco-Manthan is an initiative by Bangalore Cares to change the way the social sector perceives the process of resource mobilisation, at the same time raise awareness about the hazards of disposing e-waste in an unorganised manner.

Only 2% individuals are concerned for environment while disposing their TV,mobiles, PCs, etc.

94% of the organizations do not have any policies on
Disposal of IT Product.

E-Waste accounts for 40 percent of the lead and 75 percent of he heavy metals found in landfills which harms our nervous systems, reproductive systems, lung, skin, bladder., etc.

Bangaloreans have donated generously.....
 
Rs.1.40 crore, a 7% increase from 2009, for various causes like education, AIDS, senior citizens, disability, animals, etc. Golden Star Ganesh led the way by contributing Rs.5 lakhs to Iksha Foundation, working to save the sight of children with eye cancer. We thank all those who contributed generously and assure that their contributions will make a difference to a lot of lives across all causes.
